BAE SYSTEMS Migrates 4,400 Users from Sherpa to Metaphase®

Avionics Group to manage all product data with Metaphase® Express Aerospace & Defense Solution

CINCINNATI-May 8, 2001-SDRC (Nasdaq: SDRC) today announced that BAE SYSTEMS Avionics, a defense electronics manufacturer, is migrating 4,400 users at its ten U.K. sites from Sherpa to SDRC's Metaphase® Express Aerospace & Defense solution.

The program to replace the current Sherpa installation is viewed not only as a tool migration program but also as a platform for Process Improvement. The solution will integrate the data across the Avionics' preferred tools and will support the core Configuration and the entire Product Life-Cycle process.
